Hot summer nights of cinema at Chatsworth

But Luna Cinema is back to make those dreams a reality with four nights of outdoor movie magic from Thursday to Sunday, August 19-22.

Company founder George Wood said “There could hardly be a more anticipated summer than this post-lockdown season. Every outing we arrange is set to feel special and unique after so long away from the people and activities we love.

“After so many months spent watching films at home, we are delighted to be inviting the country to return to the big screen, with our brand of socially spacious, open air cinema experiences. We are promising our guests an outing worthy of the wait – and we are counting down the days to welcoming Britain back to the movies.”

He added: “Cinema has provided the magic of escape through the decades, and we know that the Luna Cinema can bring joy and respite to the lives of movie-goers more than ever before.

“So picture this: your favourite film; the people you’ve missed quality time with); a starry summer sky above, and all around you the most inspiring and beautiful setting.”

The run of screenings will get rolling with the 2005 adaptation of Jane Austen’s romantic drama Pride & Prejudice, much of which was filmed on location at Chatsworth

On Friday night, lift off with the dazzling Elton John biopic Rocketman, which recreates the singer’s heady days of 1970s success.

Saturday night’s alright for singing too, with the audience invited to join in with Hugh Jackman for the stirring tunes of The Greatest Showman.

Close out the weekend in a galaxy far, far away with Star Wars: A New Hope, the original 1977 sci-fi legend which gave rise to an empire.
