Irish country star Ann Breen to perform in Alfreton

Country and Irish music star Ann Breen is to perform her first concert in Alfreton for 20 years.

Ann’s best-known song Pal of My Cradle Days earned her a gold disc and was in the charts for two years, earning her a place in the Guinness Book of Song Records for spending the longest time in the charts.

In 1994 Ann recorded Sweet Sixteen, a song which was used as the theme tune in Swedish film The Last Dance.

She will perform at Christ the King Parish Hall, Nottingham Road, Alfreton, on Sunday, April 19, at 7pm. Tickets £15. Contact 07456 417807.
