Now living in Amsterdam as a convenient base for his extensive touring around Europe, his visit to Matlock Bath is part of an 11-date solo tour of the UK finishing at the London Folk & Roots festival on Nov 2.

Ian will be supported by local alt-folk artist Jamie Beau who makes music with various wooden boxes and a mouth. Describing his music, Jamie says “I play a guitar, stomp pedal, cajon, cuatro de Puerto Rico, drums, percussion…. I’m always looking for new and unusual sounds. If you can bang it and twang it, I’ll have a good go at playing it!”

Tickets for the concert are £15, via the Fishpond website www.thefishpondmatlockbath.co.uk or by calling 01629 55006.
