Darley Dale Film Society launches its new programme on Thursday, September 10, offering attractions for all the family.

The main programme ranges from the biopic of Steven Hawking The Theory Everything to Pride which tells the true story of how young gays and lesbians from London raised money to support a Welsh mining community.

Highlights include Testament of Youth, No Country for Old Men and the Bruce Willis classic The Sixth Sense.

There will also be a short season of three Arab films. With story lines ranging from killings on the West Bank to the obstacles faced by a ten year old Saudi girl wanting to own her own bicycle, the films offer an insight into the Arab culture that people in the Western world rarely see.

Annual membership costs £25 which enables free entrance to every film in the season. Guest tickets cost £4.

All films are screened in the Methodist Church Hall, Dale Road, Darley Dale.
