New season starts in Duffield

The new Music at Duffield season launches next month with a performance by Innovation Chamber Ensemble.

The concert takes place in the main hall at The Ecclesbourne School, Duffield, on Saturday, October 17, starting at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm).

The Innovation chamber Ensemble was formed in 2002 by members of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

They have performed in many of the UK’s leading venues and festivals (including London’s Wigmore Hall). ICE have made a number of recordings on the Somm label.

The latest of these was released in autumn 2014 of British piano concertos with the pianist Mark Bebbington.

The programme for this concert features the Sextet from Richard Strauss’s Capriccio, Mozart’s Grande Sestetto Concertant and Dvorak’s

Sextet in A.

Ticket prices are£13 for adults, £12 concessions and £6 for students.
