Orchestra and dance school team up for winter-themed concert

Nottingham Symphony Orchestra will be performing a winter-themed concert at the city’s Albert Hall on Saturday, November 21.

The concert starts at 7.30pm, will be conducted by Derek Williams and also features members of the Sandra Taylor School of Dance.

The entertaining programme for the concert includes Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel Overture, Winter from Glazunov’s ballet score The Seasons, plus Winter from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with Derek Williams as violin soloist.

There will also be extracts from Tchaikovsky’s ballet score The Nutcracker, and Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride.
