Panto group’s having a ball

Westfield Folkhouse members are hard at work ahead of their latest eagerly-awaited pantomime offering.

This year, for their 76th annual production, the Westfield Folkhouse Group presents what is probably the best loved of all pantomimes – Cinderella.

The classic tale sees Prince Charming looking to find a girl who loves him for himself – not just because he is a prince.

All eligible ladies in the kingdom are invited to the Grand Ball to aid him in his quest.

Cinderella hopes to go to the ball but is stopped by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, Hernia and Nausea.

But Cinderella is rewarded for a kindness she has shown and does get to the ball.

However, midnight arrives and seemingly spoils everything. But in true panto style, good triumphs over evil and everyone lives happily ever after.
