A founder member of The Albion Band, alongside the likes of Ashley Hutchings, Steve quickly sent shockwaves through the world of folk rock with the release of his first album Stroll On.

Described by some critics as being ‘up there with Liege and LIef’, the album featured at least one timeless standard in the form of Fire and Wine.

However, Steve has never been one to rest on his laurels and continues to write and tour extensively.

Recognition of his importance to the often turbulent world of folk rock finally came a few years ago in the shape of a biography by the prolific music journalist, David Thompson.

As well as charting Steve’s amazing career, the book apparently also sets a few records straight concerning one of rock’s most restless and innovative period.

Support for this gig at the Chesterfield Road-based venue comes from Joel Davis, who is establishing something of a reputation for writing and performance.

Admission to the venue is £7 and doors open at 8pm.
