Khaliyah is one of the company’s youngest signings and has been recruited to play one of the daughters of wealthy planter Emile de Becque.

South Pacific tells the story of Emile, a widowed father of two, who falls in love with an American nurse during the Second World War but she finds it hard to accept his mixed-race children.

The show contains well-loved numbers such as I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair, Happy Talk, There is Nothing Like A Dame and Some Enchanted Evening.

South Pacific will be staged nightly at the University Drama Studio, Sheffield, from September 23 to 27, with a matinee performance on the final day.
