Step this way for all the fun of Chesterfield Walking Festival this weekend

People are getting fit and enjoying the natural delights which Derbyshire has to offer.

The annual Chesterfield Walking Festival is in full swing this week - and there's still time for you to join in. For full details go to www.visitchesterfield.info/whats-on/walking-festival

Take in the beautiful scenery of Ogston reservoir and wander past the stretch of water at Stubbin before returning to Chesterfield Town Hall on May 18 from 10am to 4.30pm.
Catch a train from Whitwell Station to Shirebrook on May 18 then stroll into woodland and onto farmland on a walk back through limestone landscape. The walk starts at 9.30am, bring your lunch.
Take a gander at the ponds on the Hardwick estate and see what wildlife you can spot on Saturday from 10am to 12.30pm.
Look out for water voles and news on a wander around The Washlands nature reserve at Wingerworth on Sunday, May 19, from 10am to 12.30pm.
Enjoy a family walk on May 19, starting at Dronfield Hall Barn and travelling along field paths and two playgrounds. The walk starts at 2pm and finishes at 4.30pm.
