University of Derby Theatre Arts are thrilled to announce that they will present award-winning playwright Evan Placey’s modern, thrilling and brutally honest play.

Presented by second year Theatre Arts students, directed by Amanda Wallace and co-directed by Ava Hunt, Girls Like That explores gender equality, the fragility of friendship and the pressures on today’s digital generation.

When a naked photograph of Scarlett goes viral, rumours run wild. Everyone is quick to judge, yet Scarlett remains silent. The friends Scarlett has grown up with become her worst enemies. But when a picture of a naked male pings its way through cyberspace, the reaction is not the same.

Tickets to see Girls Like That are £11, concessions £8, University of Derby students £5, schools £8 (with every 11th ticket free). For more information and to book tickets call the Derby Theatre box office on 01332 593939 or online at www.derbytheatre.co.uk
