This small chamber choir will be presenting a varied range of music in Winster church.

The concert starts with Gorecki’s ethereal Totus Tuus, followed by Lauridsen’s O Nata Lux and several motets by Mozart.

This will be followed by a selection of English madrigals.

The second half has a hint of the seaside, with a series of lullabies, including the Seal Lullaby by Eric Whitacre, and Bob Chilcott’s hauntingly beautiful Beach.

The concert concludes with music by Gershwin, and well-known tunes from South Pacific by Rodgers & Hammerstein.

Wyns Tor Singers will be joined by Neil Clarke and Peter Malcolm on viola and piano for some instrumental interludes.

Proceeds from the concert will go towards Bakewell Rotary President’s charity, Derbyshire Young Carers, a support service for young people in Derbyshire who find themselves caring for parents or siblings.

Tickets cost £8 and are available from Winster Post Office, Heath Opticians Bakewell, or on the door.
