A Touch of Frost star will play Father Brown at Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre
Television’s A Touch of Frost actor John Lyons will return to the Derbyshire stage to play clerical sleuth Father Brown
John, who played David Jason’s sidekick in the long-running TV series, takes centre stage in a murder-mystery drama at the Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield, from July 27 to 29, 2021.
Produced by Rumpus Theatre Company, Father Brown – The Murderer in the Mirror has more twists than an Agatha Christie thriller.
The drama unfolds as a famous actor is found dead just before the opening of a West End production, Father Brown, who is invited to watch the dress rehearsal, sees a shattered dressing room mirror and wonders who the killer is when all possible suspects were on stage.
John has previously played Father Brown in the play The Curse of the Invisible Man which toured Derbyshire in 2015.
