Dempsey starback on stage

TV’s Dempsey star Michael Brandon in A View from a Bridge at Nottingham Theatre Royal

Michael Brandon, who played Dempsey in telly series Dempsey and Makepiece, will tread the boards in Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge.

He said: “It’s a great privilege to play ‘Alfieri’ in A View from the Bridge as he speaks for Arthur Miller in the play.”

Michael received an Oscar Award nomination for his role as Jerry in Jerry Springer the Opera.

A View from the Bridge is at Nottingham Theatre Royal from March 3 to 7.

Jonathan Guy Lewis who has appeared in Coronation Street, Silent Witness and Heartbeat heads the cast.
