Derby Theatre to stage The Little Mermaid in place of Aladdin

Derby Theatre has postponed its big festive production for families, Aladdin, until next year due to the Covid-19 situation, announcing that a smaller show will take its place this Christmas.

MIke Kenny’s The Little Mermaid, an uplifting underwater adventure perfect for five years and over, will be presented from December 2, 2020 to January 2, 2021.

Audiences will be socially distanced at the production, which will be the first time that the public have been able to visit the theatre since lockdown in March.

Tickets for The Little Mermaid are on sale now, priced £12. Go to www.derbytheatre.co.uk.

The new dates for Aladdin have yet to be announced, but tickets for the 2021 performances will go on sale on October 2 at 10am.

Aladdin ticket holders who retain their booking for 2021 will automatically be offered a discount to see The Little Mermaid.
