Dronfield Players stage Hi-de-Hi

Holiday camp high jinx are brought to the stage in Dronfield Players’ take on a smash-hit comedy show.

Hi-de-Hi focuses on the start of a new season at Maplins where its founder is looking for female yellowcoats to work in his new holiday camp in the Bahamas. The Miss Yellowcoat competition will decide who is to go. Sylvia (played by Rachael Hope) and Gladys (Janet Black) are the frontrunners.

Camp cleaner Peggy (Bridgette Rouse is thrilled at the prospect of a vacancy for a new yellowcoat and convinces entertainments manager Jeffrey (Gary Jarvis) that she is the ideal candidate for the job.

Hi de Hi, directed by Brendan Black, is at Dronfield Civic Hall from Tuesday, April 21 to Saturday, April 25 at 7.30pm. Tickets £7 and £6 (concessions) are available on 01246 417850.
