Golden panto in store at Playhouse

The months of waiting will come to an end on Friday, November 27, when the 2015-2016 Playhouse pantomime - Dick Whittington - gets under way.

Directed again by panto legend Kenneth Alan Taylor, make sure you don’t miss out on this story of a country lad who sets out into the big wide world to seek his fortune, along with his amazing rat-catching cat.

But are the city streets really paved with gold? And is the path to happily-ever-after ever an easy one?

With glittering scenery, fabulous frocks and mesmerising musical numbers, Dick Whittington is a whirlwind adventure for all the family.

The Playhouse is delighted to welcome back long-standing panto favourites John Elkington, Tim Frater and Rebecca Little. They are are all familiar and popular faces with local audiences.

Elkington will be dragging up again to play Sarah the Cook, with Little as Fairy Bowbells and Frater in the title role.

The production runs from Friday, November 27, to Saturday, January 16.

Written by Brendan Murray, this is a fast (and, of course, slow) fun-packed show about friendship, the passing of time, and the excitement of growing up, suitable for 4-8 year olds.
