A story of love, loss and reconciliation told with movingly beautiful songs. Set in the Nottinghamshire Coalfields against the backdrop of WW1, Billy, a poor miner, and Eileen, the pit owner’s daughter, are passionately in love when they are forced apart by the Great War. The Same Sky will be performed at Derby’s Guildhall Theatre between March 2-4. Tickets are priced at £15.

European Art Company will be performing Chekhov’s Shorts, a hugely entertaining collection of classic one-act farces by Anton Chekhov, including The Evils of Tobacco, The Dimwit, The Bear, Swan Song and The Proposal.

This is Chekhov as you’ve never seen him before – funny! Chekhov’s Shorts will be performed on March 14-15. Tickets are priced at £15 and concessions are available.

Reform Theatre Company’s Hopeless Romantics tells the story of Al, a singleton who has been unlucky in love. When his judgemental parents invite the family together for an anniversary dinner, Al does something rather reckless – he asks Zoe, a girl on work experience, to pose as his girlfriend for the night.
