He will be playing at the City Hall on September 15, 2021, and tickets are now on sale.

Joe’s ‘Very Best Of’ album achieved gold record status and was on the UK charts for eight weeks, staying for half of that period in the top 20.

During his 50th anniversary year, Joe released a new Ukelele Album which broke new territory in the download market where he is now a Spotify legend. He celebrated his gold jubilee with a sell-out show at the Royal Albert Hall.

He has continued to break box office records and recently received MOJO magazine’s coveted Outstanding Contribution to Music Award as well as a much-deserved MBE.

Joe, whose Sixties hits include A Picture Of You and That’s What Love Will Do, won over a whole new generation of fans performing on Later with Jools Holland, playing his part closing the show at the Concert for George Harrison and playing a critically acclaimed set at Glastonbury Festival.

In 2017 Joe broke with tradition and toured without a band just taking US Legend Henry Gross along. Two tours in ’17 and ’18 and double CD release entitled Just Joe

broke new ground as the pair were rapturously received by audiences who came in record numbers. This solidified Joe’s reputation as a raconteur Joe and confirmed that as a performer he is just as comfortable solo as with a band.

Joe has a new band for this tour however, more eclectic and with a line up including among others fiddle virtuoso Tom Leary; guitar / mandolin veteran Steve Simpson (a former member of Joe’s Brown’s Home Brew band in the early 70s ); bass player Andy Crowdy and Joe’s 27 year stalwart band member, drummer, percussionist and singer Phil Capaldi.

Joe, who now splits his time between the UK and Nashville, combines timeless classics, rockabilly, gospel, country, bluegrass, and rock ‘n’ roll, interwoven with his humorous reminiscences.

Tickets for Joe Brown’s 60th Anniversary Tour are priced from £34, go to www.sheffieldcityhall.co.uk
