Tribute to singer Mark at Flowerpot

Ultimate Thunder will be in action at The Flowerpot in Derby on Friday, March 27, for what will be a poignant night.

The gig was due to be a classic rock double bill with Box O Snakes. Sadly, Mark “Raggie” James,lead vocalist with Whitesnake tribute band Box O Snakes, sadly passed away last week.

Ultimate Thunder will now be performing a full set and the gig is to be dedicated to the memory of “Raggie”.

Ultimate Thunder are a leading Thunder tribute act.

First launched in December 2009 as Absolute Thunder, the band generated a lot of interest inside and outside the business following the break up of Thunder.

During 2010, Absolute Thunder were established as one of the best live and authentic tribute acts in the UK.

At the beginning of 2011, following the departure of three of the original members of Absolute Thunder, three very respected and experienced replacements joined and Ultimate Thunder was born.

Thunder’s brand of classic rock has made them one of the best-loved British groups of the last 20 years, with a popularity that still endures today. Ultimate Thunder performs the biggest songs from throughout Thunder’s career, with all the skill passion and brilliant musicianship needed to do them justice, ultimately live.

The band will looking to provide a fitting tribute in honour of the late “Raggie”.

The Lancashire Hotpots make a welcome return to the King Street venue in Derby on Saturday, March 28.
