Apprenticeships up for grabs

Forty-five apprenticeships are up for grabs with Derbyshire County Council as the authority continues to help young people start their careers.

New Mills Adult Centre, on Spring Bank, will host an event on May 8, between 3pm and 7pm, for young people and their families to find out more about the opportunities available, and take part in workshops on completing application forms and preparing for interviews.

Applications are being invited for apprenticeships in: health and social care, school catering, recycling, promotions (customer service), nursery nurse, building surveyor, electrician, tree operative, business administration, engineering maintenance surveyor, landscape construction, landscape operative, plumber, estimator and roadworkers.

Applications close on May 18, with the apprenticeships starting in September.
