The three guest rooms at The Pines draw on the local heritage by being named after famous Derbyshire women – Florence Nightingale, Vivienne Westwood and Bess of Hardwick.

Cheryl Coyne has run The Pines for seven years having previously run another bed and breakfast for 19 years.

She said: “I feel honoured and extremely pleased to be nominated as a finalist in the AA Friendliest B&B Award.

“It’s great to get positive feedback from guests either directly or via websites, but this nomination makes it all worthwhile.”
