Chesterfield Frankie and Benny's unveils reopening plans

Frankie and Benny’s reopens to Chesterfield diners for the first time since lockdown today – with new measures in place to help keep staff and customers safe.

The restaurant at the Alma Leisure Park is one of six branches across the country reopening for dine-in – along with a click and collect and delivery service.

The Italian-American themed eaterie says that guests can expect a ‘number of new measures’ after it consulted strict Government guidelines to ensure safety.

These include social disancing guidelines and signage as well as enhanced cleaning practices.

Menus are single use and contactless order and payment will be encouraged.

Team members are also subjected to mandatory health screening and increased hand washing during their shift.

Mark Chambers, chief executive of the leisure division of the Restaurant Group, Frankie and Benny’s owners , said: “We are delighted to be reopening Frankie and Benny’s and very much look forward to welcoming back our guests.

"We are starting with a handful of restaurants and are aiming to have 35 open by the end of the month.

"Our priority will be to ensure the health and safety of our teams and guests whilst providing a first-class experience.”

The six sites reopening for dine-in today are:

- Chesterfield

- Doncaster

- Dudley

- Lincoln

- Merryhill

- Peterborough Boongate
