Derbyshire pub closes temporarily after worker tests positive for coronavirus
A Derbyshire pub is temporarily closed after a member of staff tested positive for Covid-19.
The post said: “Unfortunately we have had to make the extremely difficult decision to close until the weekend.
“We have had a staff member test positive for coronavirus.
“This is an isolated case and the staff member has been self isolating in line with the guidance.
“However, the safety of our staff and customers is paramount.
“We are deep cleaning and sanitising all areas of the pub and camp site facilities and getting staff tested.
“Please bear with us at this difficult time and we really appreciate your support and understanding.”
A spokesperson for the pub added: “Public Health England is confident we don’t need to track and trace as they (the member of staff with coronavirus) were not working four days prior to the test.”
Messages of support have flooded in for the pub online.
Mark Ward said: “Hope you are sorted soon and they make a quick recovery.”
Michelle Johnston-James said: “Sorry this has happened and hoping you are back up and running soon.”
Mark Evans said: “Good luck getting sorted, definitely done the right thing.”
Rita Batley said: “Well done for taking all the correct measures.”
Lynne Kirk added: “Just hang in there – you are doing all the right things.”
