Family firm up for award

A family carpet and floor retailer that has shown excellence in its work has been nominated for an award.

T Nutt and Sons, which serves the Dales, has been short–listed in the Retail Excellence Award section of the Midlands Family Business Awards 2013.

The company, based in Clay Cross, were runners–up in the Best Small Famliy Business Awards 2011. It is managed by brothers David and Keven Nutt, together with their cousin Patrick.

Managing director David said: “The key qualities that made our family business a candidate for the Retail Excellence Award, in a nutshell, we place our customers at the core of everything we do.

“Without them we wouldn’t be here. Our unity and unique approach and attitude in doing business with people has enabled us to win their hearts and minds, but most importantly their loyalty, this is the secret of our success.”

The competition is run by the Wilson Organisation of Nottingham.

The final will be a black tie awards ceremony and dinner held on November 14.
