Grants for businesses

Derbyshire County Council is creating 1,000 apprenticeship positions – 500 in its own workforce and 500 by supporting Derbyshire businesses.

Its Derbyshire Apprenticeship Grant for Employers (AGE) scheme was very popular when it was launched last year, with all 200 grants snapped up and placements filled within six months.

The county council has joined forces with the National Apprenticeship Service to extend its AGE Grant scheme – meaning a further 300 grants of £2,500 are available. Further information on Derbyshire AGE is available from the National Apprenticeship Service on 08000 150 600.
