With Christmas just around the corner we could all do with saving a few pennies so a new money-saving offer on fuel is a welcome early present.

If you’re filling up ahead of a Christmas getaway or family visit you can take advantage of an offer that will save you £10 on your next stop at the petrol station.

A number of major fuel retailers across the country are covered by the offer from money saving website TopCashback, including Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Co-Operative, Esso, BP, Texaco, Gulf, Total Jet and Murco & Shell.

Customers need to sign up to the website and submit a photograph of their fuel receipt in order to claim the £10 back. The picture needs to show the date and time of purchase, the fuel station name and the item purchased that’s eligible for cashback.

The deal is available on any purchase of fuel worth at least £10 and expires on December 23.

To take advantage of it you need to be a new member signing up to TopCashback.co.uk and submit a photograph of your receipt before December 23. The receipt must be for the period December 17- December 23 and must show the date, name of filling station and purchase clearly.

The site warns that the transaction can take up to a week to process and funds can take up to a month to be cleared for withdrawal.
