Coronavirus in Derbyshire: confirmed cases, event cancellations and school closures
As it stands, there are currently 12 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Derbyshire- according to Public Health England but many people with symptoms are now self-isolating and are not being tested for the virus.
Following government advice many residents are staying at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
SCHOOL CLOSURES (updated Wednesday, March 18)
Matlock Bath Holy Trinity CofE Primary School
Closed to all children.

Queen Elizabeths Grammar School, Ashbourne Academy

New Mills School New Mills School will be open for Year 11 and Year 7 students only.
Highfields School
Only open to years 7, 11, sixth form and children of keyworkers who need childcare.

EVENT CANCELLATIONS
All RHS Shows at Chatsworth this year have been pulled. Organisers said it’s the first time the RHS Chelsea Flower Show has been cancelled since the Second World War:
