Crich Tramway Village announces temporary closure

Crich Tramway Village, near Matlock is closing until May 22 in the wake of Government advice on preventing the spread of coronavirus.

Management say the decision was difficult one to take but they felt in necessary to protect staff, volunteers and customers.

This decision will be constantly reviewed, and they will keep the public updated via the attraction's Facebook and Twitter sites and the website.

Amanda Blair, marketing and business development manager, said: “We continue to monitor the situation and apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience.

"This means that our World War II event scheduled for April 12 and 13, our VE Day and Beer and Bands events, proposed for May 8 -10, and Horse Tram Day planned for May 13, are now cancelled.

"We strongly advise you to keep checking with us for up-dates.

"We thank all our followers and visitors for their understanding and support, and we value their loyalty.”

Customers who do not have access to social media or our website can currently contact the office between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, on 01773 854321 (option five).
