Sadly, not all the restaurants where we’ve enjoyed great food are still with us today. We’ve had a look back through our archives to bring you these photos of much-missed eateries from yesteryear.
From steaks and fry-ups to ravioli and chimichangas, here’s what was on the menu in the town over the years...
5. La Chameleon Restaurant
La Chameleon Restaurant, on Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield, opened in 2003 and offered locals a taste of French cuisine. The restuarant is no longer with us - and sadly neither are two other eateries that followed in the same premises - Blu and most recently Gingerz BBQ. Photo: Andrew Partridge

7. Calabria
Multi award-winning Calabria fed the town's appetite for Italian fare when it was opened by brothers Vittorio and Sev Risorto in 2010. The Glumangate restaurant was praised as "a local gem" in The Good Food Guide of 2015. Customers posted their last reviews of Calabria online in 2017. Photo: Marisa Cashill
8. Ciuri Ciuri Italian restaurant Stephenson Place Chesterfield
Around the corner from the Crooked Spire church, Ciuri Ciuri on Stephenson's Place brought a taste of Italy to town when it opened in 2017. The team behind the eaterie are now running the Sicily restaurant on Sheffield Road. Photo: Brian Eyre
