Adventure film festival is ready to roll

Thrill-seeking movie fans will be in seventh heaven at the annual Hope Valley Adventure Film Festival.

Award-winning selections about climbing and mountaineering, mountain biking, kayaking, mountain culture and adventure travel, will be shown on Saturday, February 27, from 11am to 6pm.

The event at Hope Valley College will include films from the Best of Kendal MountainFestival, the Best of ShAFF and appearances by award winning film makers and adventurers.

There will be a chance to enter a youth bouldering competition or try out the slack lining, caving challenge or mini orienteering event.

Running is the theme of an evening event with films and talks from record breaking fell runners Judith Jepson, Spyke and Nikki Spinks. The evening starts with pie and peas available from 6pm and lectures from 7pm.

Tickets bought on the door cost £10 for adults, £6 for under 18’s or £30 for a family of four. Evening tickets £7.50.
