Watch the troops marching at 11am and 1.30pm and skirmishes at 12.30pm and 2.30pm in the grounds of the Crooked Spire church.

Meet the court jester, medieval beggars, a goblin, the big bad wolf and a dragon! Chesterfield Market will be full of stalls, from charity stands to street food as well as a whole host of traders from the general and flea markets.

Stallholders will enter into the fun by wearing fancy dress, selling goods and providing children’s games.

Chesterfield Museum plays host to The Crusades where you can hear tales of battles and meet Richard the Lionheart.

The day of medieval fun runs from 10am to 4pm.
