Chesterfield pupils in dance showcase

Dance students will be raising the curtain on their annual showcase.

An array of glittering tap, modern jazz, ballet, gymnastic dance and theatre, beautifully costumed and set to well-known pop and musical theatre songs will be performed at the Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield, next week.

The production, entitled Raising the Barre, will be presented by Diane Bradbury School of Dance.

First-timers and seasoned dancers will perform in the show which runs from May 23 to May 26, at 7pm.

The production is the first in a new season of amateur dance shows to be presented by students in town.

The Val Moore School of Dance will stage Golden Rhythm at the Pomegranate on July 1 and 2 at 7pm.

Directions Theatre Arts stage their showcase, which includes dance, at the Pomegranate from July 19 to 21 at 7pm.
