Hi Ho Hi Ho it’s off to work they go!

Seven merry youngsters line up to play dwarfs in a village pantomime production of Snow White.

The boys have a mischievous twinkle in their eyes as they wield their prop sledge hammers.

The children may have been fibbing when they claimed it took them about six months to grow the beards for the parts.

Julie Jackson is seen here in her role eas the lead character Snow White.

The show was put on by Middleton by Wirksworth’s Happy Wanderers.

The photograph was taken in the 1980s.

The scenery was created by John Coles and Jane Thorp was producer.
