This photograph was submitted by Doug Goodall of Matlock.
It was thought to have been taken sometime in the 1940s, although other details are sketchy.
Mr Goodall said: “It’s of the carnival queen but I’m not sure if that would be in Cromford or Matlock. I can imagine it would have been taken by Harry Gill, who was the photographer in Matlock in those days.”
Mr Goodall says he may have coloured parts of the black and white snap in himself, which he did in his spare time.
