Eyam Hall appeals for volunteers

Budding volunteers are being invited to learn about giving up their time to support Eyam Hall during a special information day.

The event is being held on Saturday, between noon and 4pm, at Eyam Hall.

Visitors will be able to learn about the many different projects volunteers can take up and they could become involved in every aspect of running the beautiful historic house and gardens.

Marion Edge, Visitor Experience Volunteer, said: “I love working with the other volunteers and talking to visitors. I enjoy being able to ensure that visitors get the most from their visit.”

Volunteers can help with leading tours, administration, project management, running weddings, managing the secondhand bookshop, and encouraging visitors to explore the countryside and village with guided walks.

Linda Purdy, Administrative Volunteer, said: “I enjoy being able to use my skills to really benefit the National Trust. I get the opportunity to be really involved and I know the work I do makes a difference.”
