JE James urges cyclists to get into Tour de France spirit on hospice ride

Chesterfield’s Ashgate Hospice is urging as many cyclists and volunteer marshals to get into the spirit of the Tour de France and take part in JE James and Derbyshire Times Flagg Challenge on July 27.

Cyclists can sign up now or can register on the day for the event which offers a 55, 25 and a 10 miler to helps raise money for the hospice, on Ashgate Road, at Old Brampton.

It starts at Ashgate Hospice from 9am, on Sunday, July 27, and returns after completing routes around the beautiful Peak District countryside.

Signing-on for the day begins from 8am before the Grand Depart from 9am.

Following the event there will be a free goody bag, soup-and-a-roll.

Co-sponsors JE James, of Brimington Road North, Chesterfield, are providing refreshments and also selling raffle tickets for a Specialised racing bike.
