This picture is thought to have been taken in 1951 and was submitted by Beryl Findon of Matlock Bath.
It shows a group of badminton players at the Grand Pavilion in the village.
Mrs Findon, who is now 85-years-old said: “It was taken as they were just beginning as a badminton club.
“I played regularly but I wasn’t a very good player!
“We use to play twice a week, Tuesdays and Wednesday I think, in the top room of the Pavilion.
“I really used to enjoy going there, everybody did.
“I know I played for more than a couple of years.
“I think there are lots of people on that picture that are still alive.”
A lease was recently signed for a community group to take on the Grand Pavilion in Matlock Bath which has stood derelict for a few years after being a nightclub.
There are hopes that it will eventually be used again as a community facility and as an entertainment venue hosting comedy, theatre, sport and cinema.
