Peak Shopping Village, in Rowsley, hosted the event, which featured performers of all kinds of magic, including close–up experts, street acts and children’s workshops.

In addition to the varied activities and entertainment outside, the two gala stage shows on offer were a sell out. These took place in the newly created arts and community space in The Old Station Building on site.

Katayune Jacquin, Peak Shopping Village centre manager, commented; “I am absolutely ecstatic that the Magic Festival was enjoyed by so many. The feedback has been incredible! You can enjoy so many different events in Derbyshire but we wanted to do something different and it paid off.

“There were so many smiling faces throughout the day and it was wonderful to see the Old Station Building transformed in to a stage for two intimate shows. Our audiences enjoyed classic magic, mind-reading, escapology, glass walking and even levitation! This was the last of our summer events and what a way to end.”
