Aldi recalling chocolate after salmonella scare

Discount supermarket giant, Aldi, is recalling a product on sale in the region after salmonella was found.

The store has recalled 200g (7oz) packs of Choceur Treasures with a best before date of 1st September 2015.

The company said the chocolate was sold in the West Midlands, East Midlands and parts of Lincolnshire.

Stores are open Mansfield, Sutton, Kirkby, Shirebrook, Hucknall, Alfreton, Chesterfield, Clowne, Worksop, Retford, Ilkeston, Dronfield, Buxton and Killamarsh.

Anyone who bought the product is asked to return it to the store.

The Food Standards Agency is warning people not to eat the product.

It said no other Aldi products were known to be affected.
