Alfreton Grange teachers strike again over school day structure
Alfreton Grange Arts College is partially closed again today due to another day of strike action against the imposition of a new structure to the school day.
Today’s strike comes after two days of indsutrial action in October and the union is planning two further days next week on Tuesday and Thursday, November 10 and 12.
Teaching unions say the new structure, which was implemented in September, will both increase their workload and adversley affect the education pupils’ receive.
In response, the school’s leaders say the changes are supported by pupils and parents and are designed to give students additional teaching and support time.
