Seminars also ran offering advice on creating a CV, job applications, money management advice, becoming self-employed and overcoming interview objections.

Speaking about the event, Mr Mills said: “I am delighted that over seven hundred people attended my third Jobs Fair in Ripley last week. It’s great news that several constituents have already been employed as a result of Friday’s fair, and many more have been given interviews for jobs, apprenticeships or training.

“My aim in holding these jobs fairs is that they are a great way to bring employers, training providers and job seekers together to bring unemployment in Amber Valley down even further.”
