Wirksworth Cubs were taught about looking after pets during an event which will count towards their Animal Carer badge.
Pets at Home in Derby hosted an hour-long workshop for the youngsters where they were taught about caring for all sorts of pets, ranging from rabbits and fish to chinchillas.
The company is sponsoring the Cub Scout Animal Carer and Beaver Scout Animal Friend Badge and which encourages responsible pet ownership.
Cub leader Louise Fretter said: “I want to thank Pets at Home in Derby for running this event for us as the cubs thoroughly enjoyed the evening, with many of them bringing treats home for their own pets.”
To gain the badge, cubs must carry out a range of animal and wildlife-themed tasks.
