Arc visits top 100,000

LANDMARK leisure centre, Arc, has passed another milestone having had 100,000 visits since opening less than four months ago.

It was also a double celebration for the Matlock facility who also picked up another top award- this time being named as the most innovative building development at recent business awards run by the Mercury’s sister paper- the Derbyshire Times.

Derbyshire Dales District Council’s £12 development was officially opened by Olympic legend, Sebastian Coe KBE at the end of August and continues to attract people.

Chairman of Derbyshire Dales District Council, Councillor Geoff Stevens said: “Arc Leisure Matlock goes from strength to strength and is clearly impressing the people of the Dales, who continue to use it in high numbers.”
