Armed men force their way into Ilkeston home

Two men armed with a knife forced their way into someone’s home and stole a laptop.

The incident happened on Thursday, October 16, at 6.45pm when the men knocked on the door of a house on Nottingham Road, Ilkeston, and barged their way in.

One of the men was holding a knife and was described as white, 5ft 8ins tall, in his early 20s, was of a stocky build with short dark hair. He was wearing a red/orange padded jacket.

The second man was mixed race, clean shaven and in his late teens. His head was covered and was wearing a high visibility vest.

They stole a laptop before leaving the scene of the crime.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Phil Newman at Ilkeston Police Station using the 101 number.

The police have only just released this information.
