Author is set to give library talk

MURDER mystery novelist Lynn Shepherd will be giving a talk at Duffield Library next week.

The writer, who spent 15 years working in PR before getting her first work published in 2010, will be talking about the inspiration for her second book, “Tom-All-Alone’s”

There will be an opportunity to buy signed copies of the Dickensian inspired novel during the event on May 2, which starts at 7.15pm.

The event is being held to celebrate Dickens bicentenary and the refurbishment of the library - which is based on Wirksworth Close and re-opened at the end of March after being closed for three weeks for improvements.
