Bakewell Carnival wows crowds – PICTURES

FUN-SEEKING crowds flocked to Bakewell for the Peak District town’s annual carnival on Saturday.

The carnival, which is one of the biggest in the county, attracted as many people as ever and everyone was delighted with the number of floats, bands and all those who took part in the event’s famous procession.

Co-organiser Dennis Mooney said: “We’ve not counted in all the money yet but we’re confident that we will once again have a lot to hand out to local charities as we do every year.”
