Bakewell Food Festival

Visitors to Bakewell will be able to sample a wealth of local produce this weekend as the town hosts its third annual food festival.

More than 70 stalls will be set up across town on Saturday and Sunday, there will be food and drink tasting and cookery demonstrations by Janine Lishman–Peat, former Masterchef finalist and raconteur.

Highlights will include a cook–off session between Mirella Kovacs, head chef of the Rutland Arms, and Peak FM’s James Summers, a mini artisan food fair run by Hartingtons and discounts in various cafes and restaurants.

Other attractions include James McKay and his owls, donkey and pony rides and barrel organ music.

There will also be the opportunity to taste a variety of food and drink.

On top of a weekend of top foodie entertainment, visitors have a chance to win a share of £500 worth of shopping vouchers.

People can purchase a program from participating shops in Bakewell, answer a simple question and submit their answer to be in the running to win.
