It’s been two days of fun in the sun but Bakewell Show has drawn to a close for another year.
About 60,000 revellers descended upon the town for the hit spectacle which boasted an exciting mix of family-themed attractions and agricultural delights (see pictures).
Bakewell Show manger Janet Bailey said she “couldn’t be happier” with the 183rd extravaganza and added that the weather had been perfect.
This year’s main attraction was a breathtaking horseback display presented by the Stampede Stunt Company.
And the much-loved traditional extravaganza wowed crowds with the usual animal contests, cookery demonstrations, horticultural exhibits, craft displays and vintage and classic cars.
Organisers said they were already starting work on next year’s event.
