Beeley call out for Edale Mountain Rescue Team

A total of 11 team members and three team vehicles responded to the incident at around 3pm on Saturday.

The man, who was out for a walk with his family, had slipped and fallen on a footpath. He was kept warm and dry using a shelter tent and team equipment. An attending East Midlands Ambulance Service paramedic administered pain relief while team members treated and packaged the leg with a splint.

The man was then transferred to an ambulance and taken to hospital.
